A member of the sermon coaching team will listen to your sermon and give you a thorough evaluation of the strong points and suggestions for improvement, complete with plenty of helpful tips for making changes. If you want to become a more effective communicator of the Word of God, this is your chance to receive personal advice and coaching tips.
What is SERMON COACH (MIL ed.)?
SERMON COACH (MIL ed.), is a sermon evaluation and coaching program provided by CH Brandon Moore to support and encourage quality preaching throughout the Army. Chaplain’s fill out their Coaching request form and self-assessment, and upload their audio or video and print sermons to the site for evaluation. A member of the Coaching team will return a thorough evaluation for each sermon submitted with advice on how to improve your preaching. This program is modeled after Sermon Doctor Rx from the Center for preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
In which format can I send my sermon?
Outlines and manuscripts: PDF’s and Word documents. Audio sermons: .mp3s, Video sermons: .mp4s, .mov format. If you have a website that the audio or video is hosted you can also send a link where it can be downloaded or streamed.
What can I expect from this coaching?
In return for sending in your sermon and self-assessment, you will receive a thorough evaluation form with comments and answers to your specific questions. Click here to view a sample evaluation form in PDF format.
When can I expect to receive my evaluation?
Sermon Coach’s goal is to get coaching assessment and tips back to you ASAP. Upon receipt of request and sermon, you will hear from us confirming request and clarifying any questions. After that coaching feedback should be sent to you within 7-10 days.
How do I submit a sermon?
Sermons may be submitted either online or through postal mail. Only Word documents and audio files less than 8mb may be submitted online. All other sermons must me mailed. Click here to go to the submission form.
